Eniya Listyani DewiFuel cells are an important technology for a potentially wide variety of applications including transportation power, micro power, auxiliary power, stationary power for buildings and other distributed generation applications, and central power. These applications will be in a large number of industries worldwide. In the near-term, distributed production of hydrogen – via reforming of natural gas or bio-derived liquid fuels and via small – scale water electrolysis – appears to be the most viable approach for introducing hydrogen and beginning to build a hydrogen infrastructure. In the longer term, large centralized hydrogen production facilities, based on hydrogen production via coal gasification with sequestration and possibly via biomass gasification, that can take advantage of economies of scale, will be needed to meet increased hydrogen demand and in the future will effect Indonesia economic with those the alternative energy infrastructure.

Seeing to that great challenge we are excited to organize the International Conference on Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technology 2013 (ICFCHT 2013)on October 7-10, 2013 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia organized by the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This upcoming conference provides a platform for key issues to be discussed from fundamental into application and the strategic policy in fuel cell and hydrogen technology involving all sectors of academia, researcher, industrial practitioner, as well as business and government decision makers.

The ICFCHT 2013 meeting will be taking place in conjunction with the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INNOVATION IN POLYMER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY 2013 (IPST2013) that organized by the Indonesian Polymer Association (HPI) under the auspices of Federation of Asian Polymer Societies (FAPS) to extend the significant discussion and application in the Polymer Technology as well as Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technology.

On behalf of the committees, it is our pleasure to invite you for taking an opportunity in the greatest International Conference on Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Technology 2013 (ICFCHT 2013), in Yogyakarta – Indonesia.

We look forward to your positive response, to collaborating closely with you in making the IPST2013 conference world class and to welcoming you in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Sincerely yours,

Dr.-Eng. Eniya Listiani Dewi
